Usage Instructions for Affirm Sensitive Scalp Creme Relaxer 1 Application:
The Sensitive Scalp Creme Relaxer (STEP 2A) must be carefully mixed with the liquid activator (STEP 2B) before use.
After applying Protecto® (STEP 1), divide the hair into four sections and gently secure them with clips.
Set the timer according to the strength and timing guide on the instruction sheet.
Apply a generous amount of relaxer to finely parted sections of hair using an application brush or the back of a tail comb. Start with the back sections, working downward from the crown. Move to the front sections, working from the crown forward. Apply to the hairline areas last. Avoid applying the relaxer directly to the scalp.
For touch-ups, apply the relaxer cream only to the new growth. Avoid overlapping onto previously relaxed hair.
After application, smooth the relaxer with the back of a tail comb, using fine sections and working in the same direction as the application.
Once the desired straightness is achieved, rinse the relaxer thoroughly from the hair with warm water. Follow with the 5-in-1 Reconstructor and/or Affirm Positive Link Conditioner.
