Mizani Butter Blend Sensitive Scalp Relaxer 1 application should be used following these guidelines:
Do not wash the hair at least 1 week before relaxing.
Check the condition of the client's hair and scalp.
Select the correct strength of relaxer.
Avoid vigorous brushing, combing, or pulling. Wear protective gloves.
Mix the activator with the relaxer before applying to the scalp.
Perform a strand test on a small section of hair. Proceed with the relaxing only if the condition of the hair and scalp is good after the test.
Chemical Relaxer Application Step 1: Apply Mizani Butter Blend Base to protect the scalp and all around the head protector on the skin around the hairline and ears. Apply a generous amount of relaxer to the most resistant area using the back of a rat-tail comb or application brush. DO NOT apply to the scalp. Continue applying throughout the head, section by section. Gently smooth the hair until the desired straightness is achieved. DO NOT exceed the recommended time. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Apply Mizani Balance Hair Bath neutralizing shampoo, lather, and rinse thoroughly. Repeat the process.
Apply and distribute MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing Conditioner to the hair and cover with a plastic cap. DO NOT USE HEAT. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
