Usage Instructions for Mizani Butter Blend Relaxer Medium Normal:

Before Relaxing: DO NOT SHAMPOO. Check the condition of the hair and scalp. Select the appropriate relaxer strength. Avoid vigorous brushing, combing, or pulling. While wearing protective gloves, perform a strand test following the chemical relaxer application instructions on a small hair section. Proceed only if the condition of the hair and scalp is good.

Chemical Relaxer Application Step 1: Apply MIZANI Butter Base protective base to the skin around the hairline and ears. Avoid getting it on the hair. Set the timer according to the relaxation time chart (indicated on the packaging) before applying the product. While wearing protective gloves, apply a generous amount of MIZANI Butter Blend relaxer to the most resistant area using the back of a tail comb or an application brush. DO NOT apply to the scalp. Continue application throughout the entire head, separating fine sections. Finish all sections and apply to the hairline last. Using gloved fingers or the back of a tail comb, gently smooth the hair at the scalp until the desired straightness is achieved. DO NOT exceed the recommended time. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Proceed to Step 2: Choose Option A - conditioning with MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing conditioner, or Option B - neutralizing and chelating shampoo with MIZANI Balance Hair Bath.

Conditioning Instructions - Step 2:

Option A - Conditioning before neutralizing shampoo: Apply and distribute MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing conditioner to the hair and cover with a plastic cap. DO NOT USE HEAT. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Apply 1 to 1 1/2 oz. of MIZANI Balance Hair Bath to the hair. Lather and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat.

Option B - Neutralizing shampoo before conditioning: Apply 1 to 1 1/2 oz. of MIZANI Balance Hair Bath neutralizing and chelating shampoo to the hair. Lather and rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat. Apply and distribute MIZANI PerpHecting Crème Normalizing conditioner to the hair and cover with a plastic cap. Rinse, towel dry, and proceed with normal styling.
